Tresco – A Turtle Dove, a Wigeon and a Common Swift. St. Martin’s – A Common Swift. At sea – 50 European Storm-petrels and 3 Sunfish were seen on a short-range pelagic trip

St. Mary’s – A male Cuckoo was on Peninnis and a pair were at Innisidgen. 3 juvenile Siskins were in a Holy Vale garden, it seems last year’s breeding success has been repeated
St. Mary’s – A Hobby flew over Porth Hellick. St. Martin’s – A summer-plumage Great Northern Diver was off-shore. St. Agnes – 5 Curlews and 2 Whimbrels
St. Martin’s – The Great Northern Diver was still off-shore. Tresco – A Turtle Dove, a Common Buzzard, 2 Siskins, a Lesser Redpoll, a Wigeon and a very unseasonal Redwing
St. Agnes – A Turtle Dove was at Troy Town. Teän – 2 Whimbrels.
St. Mary’s – A Hobby flew from Salakee Farm to Higher Moors and a Common Whitethroat was at Lower Moors. A Cuckoo was on Peninnis and another was at Porth Hellick, where there were also 2 Swifts and a Lesser Redpoll, a Swift was also over Hugh Town. St. Martin’s Read more…
St. Mary’s – A Lesser Whitethroat was on the Garrison Campsite, 2 Common Swifts were over Hugh Town and single Cuckoos were at Pelistry and Porthloo. Tresco – 2 Common Swifts. Bryher – A Hobby and 2 Spotted Flycatchers
St. Mary’s – 3 Spoonbills and 20 Common Swifts were at Porth Hellick Pool and nearby 2 Siskins (a male and a juvenile) were on Porth Hellick Loop. Tresco – A Roseate Tern and a Turtle Dove. St. Agnes – A female Wigeon, 2 Whimbrels and a Spotted Flycatcher. Inter-island Read more…
St. Agnes – A Quail, 3 Curlews and a Skylark. St. Mary’s – A Common Swift was at Porth Hellick. Bryher – A Black-tailed Godwit and a Hooded Crow. Teän – 8 Dunlins.
St. Agnes – A singing Greenish Warbler was at Cove Vean, this was(only the second spring record for Scilly. Also on the island were a female Wigeon and a Spotted Flycatcher. Annet – 42 Manx Shearwaters were off-shore. St. Mary’s – A Swift was over Hugh Town. Bryher – A Read more…
