Highlights from Saturdays Bird Log include:

Solitary Sandpiper – One was still on Bryher.

Blackpoll Warbler – After not being seen on Friday, it showed again briefly mid-morning but only to a lucky few.

American Golden Plover – 1 was commuting between Porth Hellick beach and the airfield.

Rose-coloured Starling – 1 still at Porth Hellick.

Coal Tit – 1 Lower Moors. 1 Watermill, 5+ on Bryher, 1 on St. Martin’s and 1 on St. Agnes.

Dotterel – 1 was still on Peninnis.

Yellow-browed Warbler – 1 Bant’s Carn, 1 Higher Moors, 3 on Tresco and 2 on St. Martin’s.

Whooper Swan – 6 on still the Great Pool, Tresco.

Pink-footed Goose – The 8 re-appeared on Tresco.

Spoonbill – 1 still on Green Island, Samson.

Little Egret – 16 in Tresco Channel and 1 on Bryher.

Marsh Harrier – A male over Samson..

Merlin – 2 on the St. Mary’s.

Grey Plover – 1 on Bryher.

Jack Snipe – 1 at Lower Moors and 1 on Tresco.

Wryneck – 1 Porth Minnick. 1 Old Town and 1 on St. Martin’s.

Great Spotted Woodpecker – A female in the Holy Vale/ Porth Hellick/ Higher Moors area.

Common Redstart – 1 on Peninnis and 1 on Tresco.

Whinchat – 1 Lower Moors.

Firecrest – 1 on the Garrison and 1 on Bryher.

Spotted flycatcher – 2 between the dump & the School and 1 on Tresco..

Pied flycatcher – 1 on Tresco.

Rook – 1 on Tresco.

Brambling – 1 on Bryher.

Siskin – 7 Holy Vale and 1 Old Town.

Snow Bunting – 1 on Peninnis, 2 on St. Agnes and 1 on Bryher.
