St. Mary’s – 2 Spotted Crakes were in Lower Moors, a Pied Flycatcher was in High Lanes, a Tree Pipit was at Star Castle and 4 Crossbills flew over the Garrison.
Tresco – The Pectoral Sandpiper was still on Abbey Pool.
St. Agnes – 3 Pied Flycatchers, 3 Wheatears and 2 Whimbrel.
At sea – A very quiet pelagic trip produced just 5 European Storm Petrels, 2 Sooty Shearwaters and 4 Great Skuas on the bird front. The highlight of the trip was the excellent views everyone got of a Portuguese Man-of-War. 2 Cory’s Shearwaters, a Sooty Shearwater and a Grey Phalarope were seen from the Scillonian morning crossing from Penzance to St. Mary’s
