St Mary’s – In Lower Moors the Wilson’s Snipe was still showing from the ISBG hide and the Northern Waterthrush showed briefly in a ditch at Old Town end, thus entering its ninth week on the islands. Also in Lower Moors the Dusky Warbler was seen for the first time for several days, there were 3 Siberian Chiffchaff and an amazing 5 Yellow-browed Warblers. Single Yellow-browed Warblers were seen in Holy Vale and Carreg Dhu Gardens, bring the total to 7 for the island. The Dusky Warbler found yesterday on Porth Hellick trail was seen again and from timings it was established it was a different bird to the Lower Moors individual also there were a Firecrest and another Siberian Chiffchaff.On Porth Hellick Pool there were 7 Common Snipe, a Wigeon and just 1 Greenshank. A Serin flew from Longstone towards Kittydown and 2 Black Redstarts were at Longstone. 2 Black Redstarts and a Mediterranean Gull were at Porthloo. Looking from the Garrison towards Samson, 5 Great Northern Divers & 3 Common Scoters were on the sea and there were 2 Spoonbills; 1 on Green Island and 1 on Samson Flats.
