Another good day with 11 individual American waders on the islands (6 Buff-breasted Sandpipers, 3 Pectoral Sandpipers, a Baird’s Sandpiper and a Lesser Yellowlegs). The birds were:

St. Mary’s – The Bee-eater was seen over Sunnyside and the Pectoral Sandpiper was still at Porth Hellick Pool. 16 Mediterranean Gulls were on Porthloo, 2 Pied Flycatchers were at Four Lanes and 4 Lapland Buntings were on the Peninnis Head. There were now 6 Buff-breasted Sandpipers on the airfield and 2 Woodchat Shrikes were on the island the juvenile was still between Holly Cottage and the campsite on the Garrison and the first-summer female was still in hedges along the airport approach road.

Bryher – A juvenile Red-backed Shrike and a Wryneck.

Tresco – 2 Pectoral Sandpipers, 1 on Simpson’s Field, Great Pool and the other on the Abbey Pool.

St. Agnes – The Aquatic Warbler was still in the Juncus around the Big Pool and a Lesser Yellowlegs & the Baird’s Sandpiper were on Porth Coose. A Wryneck and a Lapland Bunting were on Browarth.
