St. Mary’s – The juvenile Woodchat Shrike was till in the goat field below the airport and single Wood Sandpipers were seen at Lower Moors & Porth Hellick.
St. Agnes – The juvenile Woodchat Shrike was still in fields behind the Turk’s Head pub. Also seen on the island were 13 Sanderling and a Wigeon. A sea-watch from horse Point between 14:00 and 16:00 produced 82 Great Shearwaters, 15 Cory’s Shearwaters and 20 unidentified large Shearwaters.
At sea – Birders on a pelagic trip 5 miles southeast of St. Mary’s saw 3 Wilson’s Storm-petrels, 70 Great Shearwaters, 6 Cory’s Shearwaters, 20 Manx Shearwaters, 20 European Storm-petrels and 2 Great Skuas, Also seen were 30 Common Dolphins and 3 Blue Sharks were caught. tagged and released.
