St. Mary’s – 100+ Manx & 3 Cory’s Shearwaters, an adult Pomarine Skua and 2 Sunfish of Deep Point

St. Mary’s – 130+ Cory’s Shearwaters passed Deep Pont, Giants’ Castle and Peninnis Head, also passed were 4 Sooty & 400+ Manx Shearwaters,a Great Skua and 4 European Storm-petrels. St. Mary’s – A Common Sandpiper was on Porth Hellick Pool and a Hobby flew over Innisidgen. Samson – The female Marsh Harrier was still present.
St. Mary’s – 2 Hobbies were seen several times at various locations on the island. 2 Swifts were over Hugh Town, 2 Greenshanks were on Porth Hellick Pool and a Wheatear was on Salakee Down. Tresco – 3 Greenshanks, a Redshank, 11 Grey Herons, 17 Black-headed Gulls and 4 Swifts
St. Mary’s – 2 Greenshank and 2 Swifts at Porth Hellick Pool with another 6 Swifts over Longstone. A Sparrowhawk was at Old Town, a Common Buzzard was near Porth Hellick House and a Hobby was seen over the airfield and also over Peninnis. Tresco – The Bee-eater flew over Read more…
St. Mary’s – A Honey Buzzard flew over Hugh Town and was later seen flying SW over Tresco towards Samson. The Bee-eater flew over Trenoweth at 16:00 and was seen on wires at Maypole at 20:25 before flying back towards Trenoweth. A Quail was seen in the evening on the Read more…

The only birds reported on Wednesday were 20 European Storm-petrels on a shark fishing trip. Thursday’s birds were: St. Agnes – The Bee-eater flew over the old observatory. Tresco – The 3 unseasonal Wigeon were still on the Great Pool along with a Sand Martin. 2 Common Swifts were over Read more…
