St. Mary’s – 2 Mediterranean Gulls (an adult & a first-summer) at Porthloo. Samson – A Marsh Harrier.

Tresco – The Common Buzzard was still present. St. Agnes – A Whimbrel, 8 Curlews, a Turnstone and 16 Sanderlings
St. Mary’s – 4 Crossbills in the Garrison pines and 2 at Longstone. 6 Greenshanks were at Porth Hellick. Tresco – 8 Redshanks, 11 Greenshanks, 4 Little Egrets, 10 Grey Herons, 6 Shelducks and a Common Buzzard
St. Mary’s – A Common Crossbill flew over Higher Moors, a Golden Plover was on the airfield and 20+ Willow Warblers, 5 Chiffchaffs and 7 Blackcaps were between Holy Vale and Porth Hellick. 30 Sandwich & 10 Common Terns were in The Roads. Tresco – 3 Whimbrel and 50+ Sanderling. Read more…

St. Martin’s – 3 Sanderling, 2 Kestrels, a Little Egret and 2 early autumn migrant Willow Warblers. At sea – A short-range pelagic produced just 1 Sooty Shearwater, 1 Great Skua and 15 European Storm-petrels.
St. Mary’s – A Common Swift over Hugh Town and a Common Sandpiper on Rat Island, which is by the quay. A Sooty Shearwater flew past Morning Point. Annet – A female Marsh Harrier. At sea – A short-range pelagic trip, 6 miles south of St. Mary’s, produced 5 Sooty Read more…
St. Mary’s – 2 Cory’s Shearwaters past Deep Point and 2 Crossbills in the pine belt nearby. A Mediterranean Gull on Taylor’s Island, Porthloo and a Common Sandpiper on Porth Hellick Pool.
