St Mary’s – 2 Sandwich Terns on Taylor’s Island, Porthloo. A Whimbrel flew past Deep Point and a sea-watch from there between 18:30 to 21:00 produced 1 Sooty, 1 Balearic & 31 Manx Shearwaters, 2 European Storm-petrels, 2 Puffins, 33 Gannets, a Fulmar and a Kittiwake.
At sea – An evening short-range pelagic trip, 5 miles south of St. Mary’s, yielded a Wilson’s Storm-petrel, 100+ European Storm-petrels, a Sooty Shearwater, 2 Great Skuas, a Puffin and a Manx Shearwater. Also on this trip a Sunfish was seen and a Blue Shark was tagged and released.
