St Mary’s – The PURPLE HERON was seen several times around Lower Moors and a male Blue-headed Wagtail was also there. The first Cuckoo of the year was heard at Porth Hellick, a Yellow Wagtail flew over Giant’s Castle and there were several Tree Pipits on the island. The WOODCHAT SHRIKE was still on the Garrison and a HOODED CROW on the Golf Course was a different bird to the resident Bryher bird.
Bryher – A HOOPOE was found at Samson Hill and a male Pied Flycatcher and Redstart were both new on the island.
