St. Mary’s – With no wind and flat calm conditions were ideal for looking at the sea. Watches from the Garrison, MacFarland’s Down and Innisidgen produced 3 Slavonian Grebes, a Black-necked Grebe, a Black-throated Diver, 43 Great Northern Divers, 30+ Shelduck, 7 Common Scoters and a Whimbrel. Also seen were 15+ Harbour Porpoise. At Lower Moors there were 3 Siberian Chiffchaffs, a Redpoll and a Great Spotted Woodpecker. The Water Pipit and Black Redstart were still on the beach below the quay car park.
