Tresco – **LONG-BILLED DOWITCHER** on the Abbey Pool. Surprisingly, given the number of records on the mainland, this is the first record of Long-billed Dowitcher on Scilly since December 1985. Also on the island were Black-tailed Godwit and PECTORAL SANDPIPER, 2 Pintail, 2 Wigeon, a Little Grebe and a Mediterranean Gull.
St. Mary’s – 2 Great Skuas, Balearic, Manx and Sooty Shearwater past Peninnis. A Merlin at Normandy, 5 Bar-tailed Godwit on Porthloo, a Whinchat in Lower Moors and a White Wagtail at Trenoweth. Single Yellow-browed Warblers were seen in Holy Vale, on Lower Broome platform, Sallyport and at Porth Hellick , the latter was caught and ringed.
St. Agnes – ROSE-COLOURED STARLING below the Coast Guards cottages and a PECTORAL SANDPIPER flew past Horse Point.
Daytime Pelagic – The trip organised to try and relocate the albatross was unsuccessful, but 3 or 4 Sooty Shearwaters were seen plus 6 Great Skuas and a European Storm Petrel.
